I'm excited to finally be able to share some images from this edgy and whimsical moody styled shoot that I was so happy to be a part of in September out in Canmore at Creekside Villa wedding venue. Nikki from Posey Lane Weddings invited me to be the Canmore wedding photographer for a concept she had in mind. The idea was about juxtaposition and it really spoke to me. I love the way she describes it as

" ...It emphasizes intimacy, freedom of the human body and the rugged beauty of the mountains right out my back door. 

This whole shoot will be published in February through Rocky Mountain Bride and I can't wait for you to read the full inspiration there! Let's just say that it really speaks to me. To embody this idea we really wanted a more alternative looking, tattooed couple. I had just started following Meg on instagram and quickly fell in love with her pin-up style & beauty. I reached out and in a stroke of luck she was available to be our punk rock Bride along with Shaun who made a perfectly tattooed and bearded Groom. 

The shoot took place at the amazing Creekside Villas wedding venue in Canmore. I have been lucky enough as a Canmore wedding photographer to have photographed two weddings there in the past few months and I love working with them! The Creekside Villas wedding venue itself is stunning with huge windows, lots of natural light and cool textures on the walls. It's a photographer's dream. We were also close enough to the mountains to be able to take a quick drive up to Whiteman's Pond on the way to Ha Ling Peak. Taylor O'brien of O'brien Originals was our amazing videographer and together we had a lot of fun playing in the gorgeous mountain light after an unpredictable morning of sleet and snow. 

All of the vendors really stepped up to the plate to make this shoot one of the most projects I've been lucky enough to shoot the last few months. I am so happy with how everything turned out. These are some of my favourite images that I've created this year. I'm really looking forward to collaborating more in the future!
