Hi! I’m Bree, Your Calgary Boudoir Photographer

 

I’m an inclusive, LGBTQ-friendly, artistic Calgary boudoir photographer. That’s me (on the left) in one of my many self-portraits I’ve taken!

I started my photography journey over a decade ago by taking intimate, creative portraits of my girlfriends around Calgary and BC and it lit a fire in me! Throughout many years of self-exploration and pursuing different forms of art and photography, I’ve always come back to intimate portraiture and the magic that photos can hold for individual transformation. This is where some of my deepest passion lies. Mental health and the well-being of others is something I truly value.

I believe that photoshoots and the creative flow can be an incredible and transformative experience, which I would love to share with you. Being able to make someone feel incredible in their own skin, and witness their transformation from unsure to empowered before my eyes is not something I take lightly or for granted.

I’ve recently started a Masters of Counselling program with the intention of learning how to hold space in a deeper way for myself, my clients and the world at large.

 

So, what does a calgary boudoir session look like?

 
Each session is fully customized to the individual and is based around your needs & goals.

Every client receives an in-depth questionnaire, and we set up a consultation call so that I can really get to the depths of what this session could be for you. I want to know what your hopes and dreams are, what you love about yourself, what your greatest fears are, and what you hope to overcome or transmute through this intentional photography session. I am here to hold space for it all.

The location of each session varies. I have photograph sessions in people’s homes, in quirky Airbnbs, outside in nature, or in the abundance of amazing studio spaces available throughout Calgary. I have a big list of location options to provide for inspiration! I am also always happy to travel and often find myself travelling around Alberta and BC.

I’m proud to announce that I have recently started a Masters of Counselling program with the intention of learning how to hold space in a deeper way for myself, my clients and the world at large.

why should you do a boudoir photoshoot?

 

Being a Calgary boudoir photographer has always been about more than just taking a good photo of someone. These sessions are about more than just feeling sexy or beautiful, even though I hope you’ll feel both of those things during and after our shoot.

But for me, boudoir photography is all about getting to know and capture the essence of the human being sitting in front of me. It’s about empowering and cheering on my fellow femmes, in whatever ways they need to be supported and encouraged. Womxn deserve and thrive by having experiences that lift them up. 

We all need experiences and spaces that allow us to be whoever the fuck we want to be.

Spaces and experiences where we can truly express what needs to come through. empower and enlighten us. Capturing these moments in photos, allow us to see what we look like through the eyes of another person & more importantly, freezes a moment in time where we feel truly ourselves. This is how good we look and feel when we shine our lights as bright as we can.

The most beautiful part of doing a boudoir session is seeing the transformation in yourself from the beginning of the shoot to the end. It is completely normal to walk in feeling unsure but I guarantee you will leave feeling inspired, creative, sexy, sensual, fired up, FREE TO BE YOURSELF and more in tune with your inner knowing than you have before.
