Hi! I’m Bree, your destination wedding photographer.

I'm a Dreamer, dancer, stargazer, photographer, water baby/part mermaid, and a lover of music and moments.

I’m an inclusive, LGBTQ-friendly, and adventurous destination wedding photographer. I call Canada home but am always planning my next adventure - photographing epic couples and having the most amazing experiences along the way. I have captured adventurous, laid-back, intentional-in-love couples in Banff, Haida Gwaii, throughout Western Canada, Ireland and New Zealand (so far!) but my bucket list keeps growing!!

As an avid traveller, nature lover, and people person, I fall in love with every destination and person I meet. It’s my goal to explore somewhere new every year and photograph unique and inspiring couples in all the beautiful locations I have discovered on my adventures! Whether you are eloping solo or having a wedding with all your best friends and an epic dance party, I am so excited to capture it all!

I AM OFFERING FREE TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION to most destinations in 2025!

why choose me to be your destination wedding photographer?

Choosing a wedding photographer to capture your story is a big decision. You’re going to be spending a LOT of time together (aka your whole wedding day), so I definitely recommend picking someone that you vibe with - hopefully that’s me!!!! (I promise I’m fun!)

HERE ARE A FEW REASONS YOU SHOULD PICK ME TO BE YOUR DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER

  1. Exploring new places through my camera lens has been something I have been doing my whole life! I will dedicate countless hours & the days leading up to your wedding exploring - wandering side streets, finding the spot with the best light at sunrise or sunset, finding cool walls, pockets of light and views - all to give you the most epic photos! I will research the shit out of your destination if I haven’t been there before or tell you everything I know about it if I have already been.

  2. My packages include complimentary coverage of the day before or after the wedding too! I know when you’re having a destination wedding the wedding day itself is not the only adventure! Let’s plan a hike to an epic location, get up for a sunrise beach session in your underwear, or rent a catamaran with your crazy friends. You get to choose what you want captured!

  3. I’m FUN!!! I will fit right in with your friends and family, light up the dancefloor with my hilarious moves (but not outshine you of course), put together a playlist with all your favourite tunes for when we’re shooting your portraits. I will get in water for the shot, climb cliffs for the best views and angles, test out the street food on myself first, and make all the jokes to keep you laughing.

  4. Did we just become best friends??

I am still good pals with many of my past wedding clients and I truly hope we will remain friends long after the wedding day is done.

planning an epic and meaningful destination wedding?

I’m all about couples who are looking for a meaningful wedding or elopement experience and want to make their destination wedding their own. I want to photograph your love no matter what it looks like - silly, playful, romantic, soft, colourful, quiet or simple. I know that love shows up in so many different forms and yours shouldn’t be expected to look like anyone elses. LOVE IS LOVE and my goal is to capture yours in the most authentic way possible. I want to know what’s most important to you about your wedding day and how it feels for you. While I love a good epic portrait with amazing light, my favourite moments to capture are the unscripted ones that tell a story: your partner tearing up during your first look (when they said they weren’t going to cry!!), your grandma’s hands as she grasps yours, kids and animals doing literally anything (they’re the best), and all the hilarious moves you and your besties pull out on the dance floor.

your wedding and your love are completely unique and you deserve a photographer who cherishes that

10 things to consider when planning a destination wedding

1. choose your destination

Selecting the right destination sets the stage for your dream wedding. Explore factors such as climate, cultural significance, and travel accessibility. We'll guide you through the decision-making process, helping you find a locale that resonates with your love story and provides a picturesque canvas for your wedding photos.

2: Set a Date and Budget

Setting a date and budget are the cornerstones of destination wedding planning. There is a lot to consider when choosing the perfect date, such as travel seasons, weather and options that are budget-friendly for your guests. It’s important to create a realistic budget that encompasses travel, accommodation, and, of course, an amazing photographer!!

3: Legalities and Paperwork

Destination weddings often involve additional legal requirements. Whether you're planning a beach wedding or a ceremony in a historical city, navigating the legalities is essential to ensure that your union is recognized both abroad and at home. (Hint: Lots of people get married at home in a legal ceremony first to save them from complicated paperwork)

4: Guest List

Managing your guest list for a destination wedding requires careful consideration. You likely will want to strike a balance between inviting alllll your loved ones and keeping the affair intimate so you can really soak in the quality time with your friends & family. It’s important to be aware that some guests won’t be able to afford to travel so try your best to not take it personally if someone can’t make it. In fact, many people choose to have a destination wedding to keep their guest list small!

5. Travel Logistics

Coordinating accommodations and travel logistics is a crucial aspect of destination wedding planning. This chapter offers tips on securing group rates, managing travel itineraries, and ensuring that your guests arrive stress-free for the celebration. I highly recommend using a travel agent or wedding planner for this part of the process. Reach out for my list of destination wedding planners!

6. Find Your Dream Venue

Explore the diverse range of venues available for destination weddings, from beach resorts to historic landmarks. Finding a venue that aligns with your vision and complements the experience you want to have is really important and can set the tone for your whole wedding day! There are all-inclusive options, airbnbs for rent, or really, anything your heart desires! I love helping couples look for their venue!

7. Decor and Styling

This is one of my favourite parts of planning a wedding… picking your style, vibe and decor! I always recommend choosing decor that complements the natural beauty of your location or highlights the local cultures. Thoughtful styling enhances the overall ambiance, creating a visual story for your whole day!

8. Hire an awesome destination Wedding Photographer

That’s me! A destination wedding is a visual dream to photography and your photographer is the storyteller. Selecting a photographer who loves what they do and will be part of your memory is really important!

9. Activities & Excursions

Elevate your destination wedding experience by planning activities and excursions for your guests. Whether it's a pre-wedding beach party or a cultural tour, these experiences can really enhance the overall celebration and provide additional fun photo opportunities and memories to be captured!

10. The Big Day!

Your wedding day is the culmination of months of planning. There are so many ways to plan your day, from getting ready, to the ceremony, to making sure you have time for some sunset photos. From the exchange of vows to the first dance, I can help you plan your timeline so it feels every bit as good it can be.

Destination wedding photography for people who give a shit

I’m inspired by the beauty of nature, by cool pockets of light and by the stories of everyone I meet throughout my adventures. I am so grateful to live on a planet with sunrises and sunsets, where sand can be pink, black, white or gold, where trees are older than I can even imagine, and my breath is constantly taken away by the beauty of the world… and I want to make sure we keep our incredible planet beautiful for generations to come. I purchase carbon offsets for all of my travel, donate a portion of all my earnings to local charities and am doing my best to be an environmentally conscious and kind-hearted business owner and human. If you care about keeping our planet beautiful, like to spend your free time getting covered in dirt, sand and salt, and love to get down on the nearest dancefloor, then I just might be the photographer you’re looking for!

OH, AND IM GUESSING YOU PROBABLY LOVE DOGS.
