Wedding Photographer in Calgary - Best of 2018
As an intimate wedding photographer in Calgary who is always looking for the next adventure, I had an amazing year full of travel and exploring new locations. I was lucky enough to skip most of the winter in Calgary and instead spent it on the beaches, in the the jungle and exploring the rugged coastlines and mountain tops of New Zealand. I even photographed a destination wedding in New Zealand!!! But because I am maybe slightly insane as a wedding photographer in Calgary, I also flew back part way through my trip to photograph an incredible winter wedding at Emerald Lake Lodge. I also was lucky enough to photograph some amazing weddings on Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, Victoria, and the Comox Valley as well as at Hillside Lodges in Golden, Fairmont Hot Springs Resort and all around Banff and Canmore. My favourite memories were spent connecting deeply with nature, hiking through the trail systems around Queenstown and conquering Roys Peak and doing the Abel Tasman. I moved back to Alberta in 2016 to become a wedding photographer in Calgary but part of my soul is always near the ocean. I took two road trips driving out from Calgary to Vancouver Island and made a lot of stops along the way. I camped at Sombrio Beach for the first time in years (my favourite place in the world) and I can’t wait to go to French Beach to photograph an amazing Vancouver Island wedding there this year!
As you may be able to tell I love to travel. So it’s probably no surprise that I have a few epic destinations on my radar this year. The most exciting travel plans that I have so far are a trip planned to Europe! I’m going to be exploring Ireland (hello Cliffs of Moher and the Giant’s Causeway!!) as well as Wales & the UK and Germany and Denmark! I would love to photograph a moody elopement in any of those places so shoot me an email if you or someone you know is looking for an adventurous wedding photographer to explore with! Besides that, I am spending most of my days shooting some fun portrait work and I have started offering boudoir which is an exciting new venture for me! I can’t wait to see what amazing things 2019 has to bring!
Thanks for following along!
