Celestial-themed Deane House Wedding Calgary - Pat & Josh
Celestial-themed Deane House Wedding Calgary - Pat & Josh
The Deane House is one of my favourite charming intimate wedding venues in Calgary. The Deane House, a historic building built in 1906, sits on the edge of Inglewood at the confluence of the Elbow and Bow rivers. Featuring a number of different rooms, lots of windows, an old library feature wall, beautiful gardens and an amazing view of downtown Calgary this is a wedding venue that offers couples and their guests a variety of interesting backdrops and options for beautiful photos. Around every corner is another room to explore and it almost feels like a secret passageway could open at any moment. For couples who appreciate a cinematic, moody feel to their wedding photos, this is a great venue for that as it has so many different nooks and crannies with amazing, filtered window light (my favourite light!). Not only that but The Deane House features amazing cuisine and top-notch service to wedding couples, guests and the wedding vendors themselves. It is a place where you feel truly cared for and your senses are delighted!
Pat & Josh had the most amazing intimate wedding at the Deane House with a celestial theme. My jaw literally hit the floor when I saw Pat for the first time wearing her crown of stars and looking like she came straight down from heaven. Josh looked dapper as heck in his suit and we got some handsome shots buy the library window before the first look. From the sweetest first look, to their private vow exchange, to the first look with their family & friends - the whole day was full of moments that brought tears to everyone’s eyes. Pat & Josh ended the day with karaoke with their guests and a beautiful rendition of a song whose name I can’t remember by their niece. This day was everything a wedding should be - personal, meaningful, intimate and so full of love and laughter. I’m so grateful I got to be part of the day and that Pat & Josh trusted me to create magic with them!
