Lindsay and Alex threw one of the most beautiful mountain weddings I've had the pleasure to attend in recent years. Kananaskis is the perfect mountain venue for anyone from Calgary as it is only an hour outside of the city, but feels like you are a million miles away. Delta Kananaskis was an awesome venue for a wedding. The ceremony location overlooking the mountains can't be beat. Even when the wooden arch almost took a tumble onto Lindsay's head, everyone was still in good spirits. From the breathtaking mountain view wedding ceremony, to the always beautiful Mount Lorette ponds for photos to the amazing decor, Lindsay really put a lot of thought into the details and it showed. One of my favourite parts were the gold chairs with jewels encrusted into the seats and the glittery head table. If you know me at all, you know I love anything shiny and sparkly! The mismatched bridesmaids dresses were my favourite for this reason of course.

Another reason why I loved this wedding was because Lindsay did an amazing job of hiring vendors that she knew. Myself, the florist, and the DJ were all connections through people Lindsay or Alex knew! I know that not everyone knows people in the industry but I think hiring friends and friends of friends can make a huge difference to the way that the day feels overall. If you are friends with all of your vendors it's a lot easier to relax and enjoy your day, knowing the people who will be taking care of everything. It's always one of my goals to become good friends with my couples before shooting their wedding.
